Some Most Helpful Documents...

Hey guys! 48 hours and counting!

Over the weekend I looked into scholarly articles through the NU library, and found several that are incredibly helpful. Thought I would share!

Kregg-Byers, Claudia, and Elizabeth Schlenk. “Implications of Food Insecurity on Global Health Policy and Nursing Practice.” Journal of Nursing Scholarship (2010): 278-285.
-lots of history
-good global statistics
-interesting commentary on measuring food insecurity
-I skipped nursing sections, but the bulk of the article is general

Wadden, Thomas, Kelly Brownell, and Gary Foster. “Obesity: Responding to the Global Epidemic.” Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology 70.3 (2002): 510-525.
-summary of author's policy recommendations
-good source for medical consequences of childhood obesity
-info on success rates of childhood obesity intervention meathods

Pinstrup-Andersen, Per, and Anna Herforth. "Food Security: Achieving the Potential." Environment Magazine 2008.
-lots of history
-environmental backdrop, but not entire focus (framing/agenda)

Happy writing!
