Review of Class Notes

Hey all,  I went through all of my class notes and picked out all of the points we should make sure to include or do more investigation into.  It is formatted as an outline of the class notes with questions/notes on what we should include.

Norms:
-linking new desired norm to existing moral standards ("grafting): is there a community-based standard norm that we can be expanding/fighting? we should identify the exact norm we are fighting to establish
-how will we empower our participants (find better work) to spread the norm?

Gatekeepers:
-who are our gatekeepers?
-how do we get the attention of our gatekeepers?
-what are the power relationships in the community involved in our project? (who is most important, least important, capable of reaching more important people, etc.)

Framing:
-emphasis on: credible and dramatic
-what millennium goals are we working on

Entrepreneurship:
-areas to emphasize: recognize opportunity, marshal resources (networks, funds, time, etc.), build organization, manage risk, create value for customer
-more on risk: we should probably emphasize the safety and waiver process, that is what I would ask about if I was listening to our presentation

Evaluation:
-impact over profit: easy... there is no profit... for now?
-innovation
-sustainability (financial and operational): what happens when we graduate? what happens when we are out of the country? what if we run through
-commitment to evaluation
-capacity to replicate and scale
